On this moderately easy hike we will sample two Fraser River regional parks: Brae Island and Derby Reach. We will walk the Tavistock Point and Houston loop trails, and connect the two via the Fort-to-Fort Trail. This portion of the Fraser is rich in wildlife and of considerable historical interest. Roundtrip distance is 15 km (9.3 mi), but if we decide to use a car shuttle, we can shorten the distance by 3.5 km (2.2 mi). Most of the hike is on the level, but there are a few short steep sections. Meet at 8:00 am. Return 3:30 pm.
